GASTRONOMIKA – SAN SEBASTIAN
ARIA DI ALBA© in the BASQUE COUNTRY from 6th to 8th October
Aria di Alba is an itinerant culinary event organized by Tartuflanghe and patronised by the city of Alba.
The next edition will take place in San Sebastian (Basque country) during the “GASTRONOMIKA” culinary congress. San Sebastian will became the gastronomy capital of the world thanks to this event which gathers the top Italian and Iberian chefs.
A special contest, named “Piatti a base di tartufo” (Dishes made with White Alba truffle) will take place at NINEU Restaurant on 7th October, where three talented Italian chefs will face three expert spanish colleagues cooking dishes with the White Alba truffle. Every chef will create a special recipe using the precious Tuber magnatum Pico as main ingredient and a jury of 50 people composed by chefs, journalists and foodies will award the best Italian dish and the best Spanish dish. The winners will gain a special prize of €2.500 that will be spent in… fresh White Alba truffle, of course!
The italian chefs are the famous “White truffle Ambassadors” Eugenio Boer (Fishbar de Milan – Milano), Christian Milone (Trattoria Zappatori – Pinerolo) and Giuseppe Iannotti * (Krésios – Telese Terme), the Spanish colleagues are Rubén Trincado (Rest. Mirador de Ulía), Roberto Ruiz (Rest. Frontón de Tolosa) and Enrique Fleischmann (Restaurante Bailara).
Paolo Montanaro and Gilberto Grigliatti will be the event moderators.
