ARIA DI ALBA© comes back to Europe during the GastroFestival – Madrid

The GastroFestival is a gastronomic convention which every year takes Trufa NOh2oplace in Madrid for two weeks and celebrates the Spanish culinary world through art, cinema, literature and fashion.

After the great success in Santa Barbara, San Sebastian, Hong Kong and Macau, a new contest “Aria di Alba – Festival de la Trufa” will be held in Madrid. The Spanish capital will host a special truffle competition: on the 4th February three Italian and three Spanish chefs will face each other in a truffle-dishes challenge at El Club Allard restaurant (2 Michelin stars).

The Italian protagonists of the Festival are Christian Milone (Trattoria Zappatori – Pinerolo), Vitantonio Lombardo (Locanda Severino – Caggiano) and Cristoforo Trapani  (Piazzetta Milù – Castellammare di Stabia). The Spanish colleagues are Raúl Cardo, Fernando Negri e Armando Saldanha.

Each chef will create a special recipe using the fresh Black winter truffle (tuber Melanosporum) from Piemonte and the most innovative Tartuflanghe Catering products: the freeze-dried truffles, preserved truffles and truffle juices.

The best truffle recipe will be chosen by a jury of 50 people composed by chefs, journalists and foodies.
